In 2007 we answered 315 calls from our service area. The Bottineau Ambulance Service covers approximately 800 square miles,
starting with the city of Bottineau,
east to Dunseith, north to the Peace Garden, west past Bottineau 12 miles
(Souris and Kramer area) and two
miles south of Willow City. We attend all of the home games at Bottineau
high school hockey games and football games, area rodeo events and car
races, and all basketball, hockey, and volleyball home games at MSU-Bottineau
College .
Typically call time is taken for one week beginning Monday
morning at 8:00 am and ending the following Monday at 8:00 am. Members
carry pagers while on call and are encouraged to carry them while not on
call to assist with back-up. When two team members respond to a
location in town or a transfer to Minot, two more back-up team members are needed to cover
any calls that may happen while the primary crew is out.
Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm at
St. Andrew's Hospital.
If
you are interested in volunteering PLEASE
contact any ambulance service member for more information.
Volunteering is easy! We offer the chance to be as involved in the
squad as you want to be.
